I am currently on Day 10 of incubation for my 20 chicken eggs. On Day 7, a large number of my eggs appeared to have blood rings, but since there was no smell coming from them and they weren't "sweating" I left them in the 'bator until today. I was only able to candle some this morning before the room got too bright for it to work, but one of the eggs I did candle so far seems to have lost the possible blood ring I noted on Day 7. I wish I had taken pictures a few days ago to compare and my notes, honestly, aren't that great.
Anyway, is it possible that the blood ring I thought I saw wasn't really there? Could it be that it is a viable egg and the reason for the "disappearance" is that the chick inside grew more?
I'm going to finish candling the rest of the eggs this evening when the room gets dark again. Just wondering if I might run into more "disappearing blood rings".
