just finishing incubating £50 of quail eggs, looking like a 100% failure
have a brinsea octagon advance and not confident its working. have had the temperature at 99.8 for the whole duration and humidity at 47% until 3 days prior to hatch whereit came off the cradle and humidity up to 70%. have the auto humidity pump for that.
weight loss was good, about 10% before upping humidity
what i am worried about is the temperature, a second probe reads only 95f at the egg level and 98 at the top, thats despite it being fan assisted!
some have pipped but not looking good, i havent liftethe lid.
i think im goimg to get rid of this incubator..£190 worth! and get an rcom. just not confident in brinsea anymore despite the good reviews..lots of money lost but more important horrible seeing chicks not make it.
anyone explain the temperature?i cant! of course the probe im using could be wrong but it still shows the temperature appears to have a large gradient!
