Iiiik! My hatching projects seem to be jinxed!

Finally a successful batch of eggs - I candled them all yesterday evening, and 22 out of 24 were nicely developed. Then I had a new freezer delivered this evening, and the delivery guyd (or useless husband) pulled out the plug. I discovered it just now - the incubator was full of moisture and the heat was gone.

I turned it on immediately, but the humidity was 96% and the temp was 27C/81F - the eggs were probably a bit warmer still, but the power was out for approx 3 hours. They are due to hatch in 36 hours (give or take).

What are my odds for a successful batch now? I had a miserable batch last time, and I have a waiting list of people who wants to buy the chicks - I even had to drive 5 hours to get the eggs this time. Aaaargh!

Please tell me it is all good - or bad - I can't stand waiting until Sunday to know.

Not a disaster. Has happened to me a few times. the most you will worry about is them hatching a little late. it could be from a few hrs. to a day later then they normally would have.

Oh! Thank you so much! I hope you are right, and I don't mind the extra wait, as long as they hatch so that my eager customers can get their chicks - some have been waiting since early July - I had a failed hatch in August...

Fingers crossed!
