My rir has lost feathers on top of her back & sides look like she is losing some. Now the australop looks like side feathers going. I put blu kote on rir to stop any picking. Checked for mites or anything & i didn’t see anything. Disease, molting, normal - only a year old. (No roos)

Are these girls currently laying?
How big are your nesting boxes? Could be they are rubbing off feathers getting into/out of nesting boxes or they are roosting beside someone that is pulling out feathers.

Yes, they are laying. Boxes are big enough. The back of rir has feather loss Too. No Roos.

I would observe you girls during roosting time, likely you have some feather picking going on. While that is not unusual, you will still want to monitor behavior and determine if more space or roosting bars are needed.

Thank you!!
