My feed company had a brand change and I noticed some 'Corn Distillers Dried Grains, and Distillers Dried solubles showing up in one of the grain mixes that I mix with other poultry feed for my geese and ducks....I heard something about distillers grains being bad for waterfowl. It is even showing up in starter etc..... we do not have waterfowl feed in our area (no where in the southland, waterfowl keepers are rare).... which is to be avoided? I feed about 50-100 birds and if I had to feed real expensive feed I would have to cut out some breeds, my birds do free range in daytime and I feed a layer mixed with oats and a 5 way scratch usually including sunflower seeds, but they took that out...so I may have to figure out another mix or brand... thanks for any help
