Distinguishing Eggs

I got this idea for an invention. Kind of like chicken saddles but with a marker attached so when the egg comes out, the marker streaks the egg with a line. Different color for every hen.


Na. Never sell enough to pay for the production.

I poured coffee, was still nice out, breeze coming in before the Hot Texas heat and humidty....and I sat and sat...and...SAT...worth the wait ...this is what I saw layed today!!!!

Two days in a row (their second and third day of egg laying ever) I had 4 eggs. This morning I sat outside for half the day to see who was doing it... and only 3 eggs. Am I crazy? or did I find 4 eggs two days in a row. Help.

I watched my first (and only so far) layer lay her 3rd egg yesterday. It was almost as eggciting as watching my chicks hatch

You guys are the only people that I can tell that to that 1) know what I mean, and 2) don't think I'm crazy

Nash, your not kidding, nobody understands us...Just like when I became a Medic...and I would talk about these awesome on calls scenes...you know blood, guts, etc...everyone is like...ahhhh ok..whatever. Im full of excitment and just want to talk about it...

Same with chickens:cd ..there like ahhh, yeah what ever...thats all you talk about,

chicken this,

chicken that...

chicken in the morning,

chicken laying in bed as we're calling it a night,

chicken on the phone...

Jen, Ive done that!!! I grab my coffee in the morning feed them...usually they lay AFTER I feed them...and sit and sip...and watch...when I see them go into the coop...if I can see...I walk into the run, and just stand and watch...today to get these eggs in the basket...I kid you not...I stood out there 1 1/2hrs!!!

But it was worth it, I got to see who, is laying what...I have one hen that is not laying yet...she must be one of the RIRs...I have 3 of those
