DIY Chick crumble feeder?

I was interested in building a PVC pipe feeder for my chickens. They are 9 and 10 weeks old so they have another little while on the crumble. From what I’ve read, the PVC tubes don’t do well with the crumble.
Does anyone have experience with something that works well? Currently I am refilling their regular store bought typical feeder every 2-3 days or so. I’m just looking to make sure the food is available for more time.

We bought this, and put two of those pvc ports on a 5-gallon bucket in our breeding pen as a test. It's been about 6 months, so we can say they work fine! It's got crumbles, as these are silkies who don't do pellets well.

This lasts 5 adults about a month.
