DIY incubator.

Hi to you all, newbie here from the england.
Having probs with my incubator fitted a fan today and now suffering from condensation on the glass on the lid. Didnt have it before. Struggled to get past 47% humidity, have a bowl of water with a sponge in it and another sponge. Any help would be great.

you could do a search for DIU incubators- i know there are very many talented people on here, mechanically inclined etc. and they post from info. on how they made them, fans they used etc.

You could also start a new thread "Condensation problems with DIU incubator. Assistance needed."

If you have condensation, your humidity should be higher than that. Have you calibrated your hygrometer to check its accuracy?

Thanks for the reply, no not checked the meter as am waiting for a new one to arrive, in the meantime i have re positioned it as it was in the direct flow from the fan and i am thinking that the fan was drying the meter so not record. ???????

I too would suggest that humidity is far too high if you have condensation. I would try another hygrometer. Would be interested to hear how you get on with your home made incy
