DIY Poultry Feed

Is there any good inexpensive recipes on making your own chicken food... we also have peafowl.

I am located in Chehalis, WA so if anyone is close to here, tips would be helpful on where to get supplies....

Making a complete balanced ration is tricky, and only will be less expensive in very large quantities, as in a ton or more at a time, and then needs to be fed within a month or six weeks to be fresh and before the vitamins deteriorate. Not practical! If you have a very large flock, and buy in bulk, it won't be cost effective. Mary

I've done the math many times and unless you have at least 200 birds, you can't come close to the cost of buying a prepared chicken feed.
Buying by the bag is a small price to pay for complete nutrition in the correct ratios.

Unless you can come up with the nutrients in the following link in the appropriate levels, it's an exercise in futility.
