I just found my chicken dead about an hour ago. She was found ripped apart right near where an armadillo has been living. Is it possible an armadillo would eat a chicken? I feel like if it was any other animal, they would’ve swallowed her in one gulp, it was a very young chicken

A typical armadillo diet is mostly made up of insects, fruits and greens, and occasionally small animals. I can't imagine an armadillo being able to kill a chicken unless it is a very little chick or an egg. If you found the body ripped apart and messily eaten it was mostly likely a raccoon.

I just saw your other post where you said you literally found a dead chicken in an armadillo’s mouth, so what is it? Was it just in the same vicinity or was it in an armadillos mouth?

Absolutely NO armadillo! They are insectivores.🐛 🪳 🦂 🪱 not carnivores.
