Do barred rocks always make a different 'chirp'?

Only 4 hatched out of my eggs so i got me two production reds and two barred rock from the feed store....The barred rocks make a different chirp than the rest, its kinda wierd lol, Is this normal or are mine just mental?

I actually think so too. My SWEETEST chicken is a BR, and she makes a different sweeter little peep than the others. At first I thought it was just her because she was so friendly, but now that the other two have come around I hear them peeping more often too. Sure beats the piercing peep of my Ameracuanas,lol.

My barred rocks have a much deeper and "funny" voice, like a muppet, and have since chicks.

I find that they are less vocal as grown chickens too, But I am kinda partial to them. My RIR and PRs are some comical screamers when they lay an egg.

Ok, thank heaven there not crazy...Maybe its cuz they are from the feed store too where its alot louder and alot more chicks...My little guys are only two days old. THAT could be it too, they were hatched on monday and mine were just hatched yesterday, so they are a good few days older than them.....They already have wing feathers! They are so stinkin cute, Ill try to get some pics in here
