Do blind peafowl live relatively normal lives?

Hello all,
We have only had peafowl for 2 years and are having our first hatchlings this year. One of them, which appears will be white, has something wrong with his eyes. One eye is enlarged and a red/pink color. The other eye is normal size and color but stays about 80% closed. From what we can tell, he can't see out of either of them. He is one week old. We are trying to decide what to do and wondering if he will be able to live a relatively normal life (roost and fend for himself as a free ranger) or would he need to be caged his whole life. With the powerful urge to roost in trees that peafowls have, I would hate to think this one wouldn't be able to fulfill that urge. Any advice from others who have had this occur will be very helpful.
Thank you so much!

Thanks for your quick reply and that's a good idea. We can definitely try that. He was born like this, so I assumed it was not an infection but an abnormality.
