Ok so at tractor supply they sell broilers and say they don't lag eggs. Now my question is how do they reproduce? Either I'm too dumb to know this or ive raised a good question

Well, they CAN lay eggs. However getting them to the age when they start laying is difficult, requiring strict feed management. Even then they often do not live to be a year old.

As for how Cornish X chicks are produced, it is not by breeding Cornish X together. They are the end result of a very specific 4 way cross. Those breeder flocks are very much an industry kept secret.

Do your Cornishx chicks a favor and put them in the freezer before they are too ill to be comfortable or survive. They are not meant to live more than two or three months max, so egg production is a moot point. I think that they are pathetic, and nearly never buy them, because it's too tough to see them as they grow. Mary
