Do broody hens keep laying when you remove eggs they intend to hatch?

I have 7 silkie hens, and they all went broody at once! This has not only upset the boys, but I have been collecting eggs to incubate, and I am lucky to get 1-2 eggs per day, sometimes none at all. When a hen is broody, and you continue to take her eggs away, will she stop laying eggs all together? Will she eventually give up wanting to sit?

When a hen goes broody she stops laying eggs period. There are several posts here on how to break a hen from her brooding ..good luck

I swear my seramas are the broodiest girls on the planet! No matter what I do, it's very hard to convince them to become un-broody!

Thank you, I will read up on breaking the brooding. Meanwhile, time to order some hatching eggs(will be good to introduce some new blood lines too)
