do buff orpingtons have muffs?

i bred a buf orpington roo with a buff orpington hen.. and put the eggs under a golden polish hen to raise them...

the rooster is really really small and scraggly for what i think a buff orpington roo should look like so i cant wait to cull him..

anywase... one of the babies (poss the other, i havent looked yet) has muffs on the cheeks like my EE's did that i got from tractor supply...

am i insaine?

You're not insane. But an orpington doesn't have muffs and beard like an ameraucana, so there must be some other breed, some where in the history.
