Do chickens get stuck too high?

I noticed that one of my 2 mo. old Polish was roosting in the rafters when the others were finishing dinner. I got on a chair & tried to coax her down to no avail.
Asked DD if she had seen that Polish earlier in the afternoon, when DD spent time in the run. Got a hesitant "Uh, yeah, I did".
It was hot here, today. Should I be worried that Polish was stuck all day? Has anyone else had a stuck bird? It this a big risk?

Our 16 week old pullets come onto our deck and like jumping off from about 12-15 feet and flying down to the grass below. I was actually quite shocked when I saw that. I don't know if they would have been that bold at 8 or 9 weeks but I'm not surprised by their comfortability with heights anymore.
