Do chickens go "On Strike"?

9 months is not too young to molt. We had an off spring this year and some of the pullets molted in our flock and others flocks in this area. Odd weather patterns and when your birds were hatched can change the "norm" of when birds molt.

I live in South Louisiana, of course we have not had any "cold" weather as of yet.

It's the length of days shortening, not the temps.
