I've been using the same blue bucket to feed the flock since I don't know when. Recently, my Dutch bantam roo has been attacking the bucket as soon as I open the door to the run. Its kind of funny cuz the bucket's bigger then he is. He will only go after this one bucket. If I use another, nothing happens. Any ideas why?

Birds definitely see in color. Waterers and feeders are often red as an attractant to chicks. Also red seem to trigger something in them. Look what happens when a chicken gets bloody. Blu-Kote is designed to hide the red on a injury to keep the others from pecking at the injured bird.

Yes they see in color. That the reason male birds have all the bright colors, and display for the females.
