Do chickens snore?

I can't tell if it's a snoring chicken or a grumble....hear it over the monitor early in the mornings.

I'm saying YES. I watched all my ladies get on the roost tonight. Still checking to make sure everyone can maneuver the ramp and they finally have it! But I love watching them, so I just sat there for a bit while they all picked their spots. And then I heard it....snoring. It was so funny. kind of like a happy trill and a sigh rolled into one.

I think so. One of my hens has a very shrilly snore. Kind of like a guinea...

I've went out to the coop after dark to check on them and they are snoring up a storm! It's cute.

I have been noticing mine snore too. I was trying to record it tonight it's a peaceful hum or coo. I don't know why they do it but I like to think its because they are happy.
