I had a mille fleur chick that I was keeping in the living room in a rabbit cage, It was one of those unexpected things I did not plan on
I have never had one chick grow up by itself at all but I still have three hypothesis
his cage was wet yesterday because his water spilled out but DH changed the litter anb he was still alive then
could he have been cold? it's starting to get cold out but Its still warm in the house from having the heat on at night ( its at least 15c in the house in the daytime)
or could he have been lonely?

A chicken of any age could die of loneliness. It's recommended that you keep at least two together.
Sorry about your chick
