Hello,
I have one chick- a Rhode Island White, I think..(or New Hampshire white?) who is 5wks ols and does this weird thing with her/his mouth. It looks like opening to mouth and stretching the neck at the same time as a baby bird would to let the mom drop food in. He/She has done this ever since I got the chicks at 1 week and it often seems to happen when I talk to him (sounds weird I know.) Anyway, wondering if that is a "pre-crowing" relfex and she is really a HE.
Thanks!
