Do Cornish X feather out faster?

Hello All.
I am raising some Cornish X's for the first time, I picked them up at my local feed store several days ago. They were supposedly just a few days old but their feathering looked more like a 1 + week old chick. Do the Cornish feather out quicker then the DP chicks or are they just older then I thought?

They feather out much faster. At 3 weeks the only yellow down that will be left is on the head, and most times at 4 weeks it is feathered as well.
