Do duck eggs have to be warm to grow

Duck eggs can last 10-14 days without heat, in those days do they still grow? Or only after heat do they start growing?
 
That is fairly universal across livestock birds from what I have read. They will wait in a stasis of sorts for the right conditions before they will grow.

So to answer your question, no they will not grow while sitting. Or at least, not past a cell division or two.
