Do Guineas eat boxelder bugs or Asian lady bugs? If they do, I'd buy a flock of them. Seriously! We have such an infestation and they always manage to find a way into our house.

Please tell me if you've seen your birds eating these darn bugs. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Shoot! I thought someone had an answer! LOL!

Yes they eat boxelder bugs! Lady bugs I am not sure, but ours eat EVERYTHING. The funniest thing is seeing the entire flock of 40+ chasing grasshoppers across the pasture

Hey, that's great! In the fall, they could pick boxelder bugs off the siding of our house the way kids eat candy dots off paper.

I am hoping that my guineas will be eating bugs. There just aren't that many right now in central NC. I guess it was the cold winter. I notice my chicks snatching something out of air in the evening. Looks like mosquitos, but I can't tell because they get to them so fast. Probably some type of fly. But it was so funny watching one the guineas looking at it and RUNNING AWAY FROM IT as it hovered around it. These are some strange birds! But I suppose as they were not raised by adults, they have to learn on there own what is good to eat. I hope they follow the example of my ravenous chickens, who even killed and ate a baby snake a couple of weeks ago! And it's not from a lack of feed. If anything, I indulge my birds with food and treats. Maybe the guineas are more finicky at this stage. I hope they soon grow out of it though.

Mine won't touch the Asian lady bugs- they are crawling on the inside of the windows of the chicken coop (where they are shut in until I see some eggs!). Evidently chickens don't like them either. Jet vac to the rescue...
