do hen easter eggers flare neck feathers

Not only that, but I once fed my brahma hens some strawberry sherbert. Apparently chickens flare their hackle feathers when they get brain freeze too.

I've never seen my roo fight a thing. However, my hens get downright vicious when they fight.

I am almost tempted to go and buy some sherbert for my hens just to see this.

When my hens were chicks they spared when they were in there brooder. Every now and then they will have a little feather fluffing fight, just like you would think only roos would do. It is just for them to try and establish there pecking order. Don't let it trick you that the chicks are roos just from that.

I have some in my freezer right now and was tempted to do it again, but that stuff's yummy and I don't feel like sharing.

Last night I gave them some sweet potatoes and some cherries that were left over and didn't feel like warming them in the microwave. I saw a few hackle feathers go up on the girls that swallowed whole cold cherries.
