Do hens "play chicken?"

You know the neck fluff staring contest thing?
Do hens do that, or is that something only roosters do?

Is it a reliable way to determine that I have roos? Or do all chickens do it to determine pecking order?

Some of my girls have been worse than my boys as they were growing up. Hackles flaring, chest bumping, etc.

My girls will chest bump with hackles up. Normal pecking order behavior.
