Just to let you know this hen i am specking about is a hen that has been sitting for a total of 2.5 weeks and i expect a little friend by the middle of next week.

:jumpy So anyway she had been sitting all day and all night 24/7. So as you would probably know she would get down and eat when i wasn't there, but she wouldn't, i would know if she had gotten down to "do her thing". so i was sort of getting worried because she had seemed to be lossing her energy and seemed to be "zoned out" when ever i was over checking things over. So i was just wondering what i should do, take her down and show her to the feed or just let this thing play out?

Thanks a Million,

I'd just let it play out. They kind of go into a zone when they are sitting. I did try putting a handful of feed next to my girl, the feed did disappear but it was probably another hen eating it. Nature will prevail. I just figure hens have been sitting and hatching eggs since the beginning of time they know what they are doing. You haven't much time left let us know how many she hatches
