It's about 4 degrees c outside at the moment, about 10c in the day

One of my hens seems to be acting a little broody-esk.
I.e taking a long time to lay an egg, hanging around I nest box, getting stressed out with the other go in it after her (they all have one favourite)...

Is it cold enough to put eggs under her? Should I not bother? Would love to have chicks running around, but don't want to stress her out and cause problem with babies through.

Any advice would be very helpful.
Many thanks,
Kate.

I'd wait until she spends 2 nights in a row on the nest, then it's just up to you. If you've go room, and a plan for the cockerels, I'd say go for it. There's a thread in the Managing your flock section about a broody in October--Mrs K lives in a pretty extreme climate and seems to be doing well, you can check that thread out.
