Do I dare open bater for very short time??

I just looked in bater got some zipping I guess you call it. Well took me this long to see I put temp gauge on floor next to where one for sure will try to get out, I don't want them to horse up there legs. I can see one right now. Can you tell I am a first timmer???

WALK AWAY FROM THE BATOR!!!

Seriously. Don't touch. The chicks will be fine. Everytime I open the darm bator to help it screws up the remaining eggs. Kills them all. Just leave it alone until most everybody is out. You will be happier if you do.

I left mine in until they were so packed in the little heads were squashed up against the plastic. I finally did have to open due to overcrowding, but if your chicks are not in a tiny little bator like mine leave em in. THey'll be fine and will get nice and fluffy. Plus the peeping helps get the other chicks out of the eggs I think.
