Bought 4 chicks, thought I had 4 hens, Had 1 roo & 3 hens. 1 hen is missing (gone, it's been a few weeks).
The rooster is getting a tad moody w/me. Attacks me. I put him in his place (pick him up hold him til he chills out, set him back down), then he is fine the rest of the day.
Should I get 2 grown hens? (rhode island red)
Or should I get 2 baby chicks, raise them inside then put them w/the others?
Here is what the inside of the coop looks like, left side nesting box area) & right side lil door out to the run).

When there were 4 of them, they all stayed on the front roosting rod you see there.
Idk why they didn't space it out, 2 on each. Didn't matter if it was 100° or -10°.. they cram up on the 1 roost. lol
If I got 2 or 3 more hens... (chicks or grown) Is this enough room for them?
Here is a pic of the 4 (when I still had 4 sharing the front roost)

Any comments would be helpful.
Thank you all in advance.
