do i give acv everyday

I have read on this site the importance of apple cider vinegar with mother. I found some in a healthstore and have put a bit in the chickens water. Do I give the cider to them everyday or do I have to wean them on it as they have not had it before. Also I cant overdose them at all can I. Thanks
