Do I have a lonesome turkey?

I hatched a turkey out of my incubator, he is approximately 2 weeks old right now. My problem is transitioning him to his permanent home in the poultry house. The pen that I have for him has a heat light in it. When I take him down there, he curls up in a ball, won't eat or drink, so back to the house he goes. He is under a brooder in the house and within 2 hours he is back to his "chirping" self. So my question is he too cold down there or if I would get him a chick to keep him company would that help? I love my poult, but he isn't going to be able to stay in the house forever. Any suggestions?

Problem is your poult loves you too and is imprinted on you. Put a mirror in with him, and once he starts 'interacting' with the mirror move him and the mirror to his new pen.
