I'm not positive on the exact age. I got all my chicks in the middle of July as baby chicks.

That's a cockerel, the light barring (which you can see how drastic it is compared to the chicken next to it) and tail feathers indicate male.

He is definitely a cockerel. I can tell by the narrow feathers on his saddle and wings, as well as his bright red comb. Is he crowing yet?
