This is beaky (my 4yr old named him/her) when it was a week old it got up on top of the food dish and chirped his lungs out, which made me think he/she is a rooster even back then,
its a coward though... you cant get near him/her without it having a panic attack, its always the last to get to the food... I had always thought that a rooster would be bold/cocky etc...
any help here?

and then I have this one that I think may also be a rooster, it fights with beaky quite a bit, but I've read that hens will fight as well...
they are both about 9 weeks old

Both of their bodies look like hens but their combs and wattles are pretty big. I'm going with hen for Beaky and the other one I'm not so sure about, but I'm going with hen.

Beaky is a roo. Need a better head shot of the second bird, but from the wattles I can see I'm thinking roo, also.

Beaky is 100% cockerel. I can't see the 2nds one's head but judging on his light color and the red snippet of wattle I see, I'm betting on cockerel as well.

'Beaky' is a cockerel and perhaps the second bird also. Sorry.

I have 5 barred rock pullets that are almost 10 weeks, and none have combs that are that large or red yet. Id say the first one is a roo, cant tell so much from the second picture :)
