Well, where did you get the Barnie from? Some breeders concentrate more on the double lacing rather than egg color, wear as most hatcheries concentrate on egg color rather than the look of the lacing. If your Barnie hens lay darker brown, and you got this rooster from the same batch, then its likely that your EE will lay olive eggs. Its a waiting game!

My barnie hen does lay brown eggs. This girls mom lays blue to blue/green eggs. I Guesss we will just have to wait.
