Do I have RIR's?

So I'm very new to having chickens. I have just gotten 2 4wk old chics that are supposed to be RIRs. I say supposed to be because one is white with red blotches and the other is very light reddish almost buff in color. Now I saw hen and rooster since they are my neighbors. Rooster is brilliantly beautiful typical for a RIR and hen was a med to lightish red. Was hen mixed maybe or can RIR be white with red blotches and buff in color? Inquiring mind wants to know, LOL.
