Do I help?

I am on day 24 of my very first hatch. I think i did good, I had 18 eggs and 13 to hatch. I have an egg who started to pip this morning( a silkie ) and has not made any progress since about noon today. Do i help? If so, how do I ? It has made a fair size hole on side of egg , but has not zipped. Any suggestion would be welcome.

I decided to help a little too soon too and the chick didnt make it. I learned the hard way but learned it can take 24+ hours for them to get out. I'd leave it alone and let nature take its coures others may have more suugestions.

i would leave it alone, and give it till tomar at noon, it will hatch on it on when it feels it is time to come out. william
