do i need a divider?

Im getting this wooden toy box off of CL and i was thinking if i cut a little door way out and hoisted it up on some cinder blocks, i could use this as my coop until my DH builds me a good one. Since im getting 2 hens, would i need to put a divider so they each have their own little space or could i just put some hay in and call it a day?

By the way, this would be inside a dog kennel (chain link).
