do i need outdoor rated plywood?

so we are finalizing plans for our run/coop
my question is, do we need outdoor rated plywood for the outer wall?
i see some people paint plywood, or use t-1-11 siding and stain it. for those that use plywood, is it just regular or outdoor?
we will be cutting a door into the plywood if that has bearing on the material

Welcome to the forum!! if you enjoy painting/staining then you could probably get away with non treated lumber. Me on the other hand would rather be horse whipped as paint so I went with treated and will stain it every few years as it needs it. I went with treated fence pickets on the entire build except the floor, that was done with treated plywood.

You can use untreated plywood as long as you paint or seal it somehow.
