Do I need to Band my pigeons?

I show pigeons at local shows and such. I am finally to the point now where my birds are laying and sitting. I have red rollers and black West of Englands. I would like to show the babies they hatch, but I am confused when it comes to leg bands. Do I need to band young birds? I have seen so many different bands, which ones do I get? And Where? And any size reccomendations?

yes they need to be banded the national pigeon assn. website npausa.com has the size info and ordering info

I've never ordered though.. but curious as different clubs say different sizes for their birds.
