Do I need to move my broody hens?

My best broody (GLWCochin) will growl and scream bloody murder when I check her eggs to remove unmarked ones, but she doesn't peck me. Another broody (Cuckoo Maran) does bite hard, so I have to use gloves or block her face with the grain scoop when I check her eggs. Guess it depends on the hen. Since I'm gone at work for 10 hours a day, I have come home to cold eggs if my broody has moved from one nesting box to another, but I put them back under her and they have hatched, anyway. I move the eggs and mama to the broody box on day 20, when I can hear the chicks peeping from inside the eggs.

this is a great idea, do they have to be a certain size and do you keep them in there from day 1 or just for the last few days, I would love to know it will help me out too :-)
