Hi all, treated my flock 6 months ago with Valbazen. Because their free ranging area is limited and ducks and birds have access, it was recommended that I deworm the birds every 6 months. We are now just past that point and my husband said he saw worms in their poop when he cleaned the coop this morning. Do I need to rotate with another dewormer or can I use valbazen again? I don’t know what kind of worms he saw but last time it was round worms.

I would use Valbazen again this time. It is my favorite wormer, since 1/2 ml once orally, and repeating it 10 days later will get most chicken worms. Later on you may want to rotate wormers to keep the worms from developing resistance. SafGuard Liquid Goat Wormer is another one used by many. Dosage is 1/4 ml per pound fiven once and again in 10 days to get roundworms. For most chicken worms including capillary and gapeworms, give it daily for 5 days.

Okay thanks! I need to try and find Safguard before their next deworming.
