Okay guys I really need some help this time around. I am not sure what I have done wrong the last two times, but so far out of 18 eggs in the bator I still have 18!! Today is only day 13, but I dont want to screw this up again. May be a dumb question, but when I turn of the turner on day 18, do I leave them in the turner or take the turner out and lay them down?? The last two times, I took the turner out, but thought maybe that could be what I am doing wrong.

The turner comes out of the incubator on the evenings of day 18, I just lay mine down on the wire and never have had problems. I candle one last time, bump the humidity to the correct levels and then leave everything alone til the hatch is completed.

Okay. That is what I have been doing. I think maybe is was temp fluctuations in my incubator. I bought a new one and the temps dont seem to fluctuate near as much this time around. I am really excited about how good these are doing! RIR's, BR's, and EE's. There are about 6 RIR and EE eggs that are just too dark to candle so I am just hoping they are doing as good as the rest.

Down to one week now...August 10th!

I take my eggs out of the turner but once I miscounted the hatch date and they hatched in the turner also. I was afraid of them getting stuck in turner but all were ok.

I put a couple of layers of cheese cloth on the wire just to make it more comfortable. Toes and belly buttons can get caught on the wire.
edited to add: Makes clean up a breeze just gather the corners of the cloth with all the shells in it and pitch it out.
