Just wondering, do male peacocks flogg people like some roosters do? I am considering owning a pair, have never owned them before and generally know very little about them.
Are peafowl people friendly even when purchased as adults, or should I get young ones? Just a note, mine will be free range.
Thanks for any advise.

That makes me wonder.... do roosters / peacocks / guineas fight each other?? All I have right now are two hens and a rooster, thinking about getting a pair of peafowl and some guineas. Again, all would be free range.

My Peas will harass a chicken if it tries to stand up to them, like a broody hen with chicks, if the hen bows up to the peas they will harries her to no end but have never hurt the chicks. i had one male guinea that was harassing a young peacock so i had top put it in lock up a couple time to get him to understand that was a no no here.

I have a roo little 1/2 pound roo that can hold his own with the peas even make them run off, He has a big attitude in his little body.
you just have to try them and see how it goes.

One of my guineas chases roosters, one of my peas chases guineas, P-Dawg (pea) fights roosters and the turkeys chase everything.

In time out? Not to chase me? :lau

Love the time out Zaz,,next time take the crock pot or pressure cooker along. It's a real morale booster here.
Shoulda seen his girl trying to get him out , but 2 trips to lock up and he left the Pea alone from then on so guineas ain't to dumb or senced my frustration and decided not to test me.. smart guinea
