Do mama geese move newly hatched babies? (NEWER PICS -Post #13)

Just a few updated pics of the babies that were hatched almost 4 weeks ago. I'm not sure how they will get along with the other geese because they are VERY tame. They follow me everywhere around the yard. If they don't see me they start making noises until they see me. I'm sure as soon as they are accepted into the goose flock in the chicken yard, they won't be so tame anymore.

Thanks.

No other hatches so far. The geese are so stubborn. Sometimes, 2 -3 geese will sit on 1 nest and break the eggs.

In a way, I'm glad that no others have hatched for that reason. I'm not sure that they will take care of them.

They will still be tame and follow you around, mine always have. Maybe not as tame as they are now, but they will always be your 'little buddies'.

Are your geese in a pen? You could give them the babies now. It's much easier to integrate young babies than it is to integrate them when they are 3-4 months old. At least one of the adults will take over caring for them.

The geese are not in a pen. I let the babies free range during the day with my supervision. I have been putting them out every day, so that the older geese can see them and know that they are there. The first few days was kinda rough. The adult geese were chasing the babies around, so I removed them from the chicken yard and put them in another area. Sometimes my geese are a tough crowd and it takes a bit longer to break the ice and be a part of their group. This weekend went a lot better. The adult geese are not trying to rip them apart. They were all sleeping in a circle and the babies were on the side of them. So it's gotten a lot better.

My geese are the meanest geese on the planet. I don't know what's the deal with them but they will pick a fight with the devil and probably win. This explains why I don't have any predators. I hear of others talking about how nice their geese are and I wonder what did I do wrong.

So, I just leave them alone and let them do their own thing. My geese are so mean, that if they see the ducks breeding they will run over to them and slap them off.

I checked our clutch yesterday, no sign of momma and the eggs.if she moved to a brooding area, how long before she brings them and shows them off? (Our geese patrol for fox)
