do molting chickens have shrinking combs?

my BR hen approx 18 months old is starting her first real moult & her usual BIG red Floppy bomb is tiny & not even big enough to flop in the last few days. She is not in the mood to be touched so I haven't been able to check out out up close. Should I be worried?

Yes.
Obelisk has a floppy comb and hers has shrunk since she started moulting.

I think they get PMS too! They sure act like it anyway!
