Do Muscovies deter hawks?

A friend of mine has had some hawks pestering her backyard-ranging hens lately. I wonder if a pair or trio of 'Scovies would help. ?

Not that I've noticed. If it's a smaller hawk, my Scovies will watch and walk over to the tree it may be sitting in BUT if it's a large hawk, they put up their crests, watch very carefully and more than likely will take shelter inside the carport.
