Do my chicks need grit?

I have read some places I should be giving my chicks grit. Yes or No? They are about 3 weeks old.

Also they mentioned vitamin supplements for their water........

If your chicks only eat chick food, they don't really need it, but if you give them treats you should go ahead and give them grit too. Once they go outside in the dirt I guess you don't need to worry about it at all. As far as their water, just make sure it's clean and never runs out and you will be fine.

you only need to give them grit if they will be eating anything other than chick feed. if you want to give them treats they should have grit. and give them grit a few days before you plan to start feeding them anything else so they have a nice crop full to help digest. we mixed grit in with the food every day. but we also gave them treats
