Do peahens and chickens get along?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with peahens and chickens together? We have a neighborhood peahen that decided to come into our backyard the other day. She followed my four chickens around for a little while but they seemed scared of her and wouldn't let her get close to them. I'm thinking the peahen is lonely. I heard from a couple of the neighbors that feed her that there used to be a peacock but they think someone shot and killed him so now it's just her. Just wondering if she poses any threat to my chickens. My dogs didn't chase her - they probably think I got another chicken.

The cats were stalking her but she ran at them and scared them away.

My grandpa always had chickens and peahans and peacocks together, but it wasn't "together" like in a pen, it was more like 3 acres fenced together...however, they seemed to get along fine.

Thanks Chicks4kids I won't worry about her being in the backyard with the chickens then. I feel bad for her

i would only worry about what ickiness she might be carrying. typically you would isolate newbies to make sure they weren't sick before introducing them to your flock. since she just showed up and made herself at home you just want to watch her and the chickens very closely for any sign of illness.
