Do roosters always die after mating?

Ok first im very new to this website and and i looked through the forums list and couldnt find one fitting for this question so i posted it here. Now my question is will roosters always die after mating? Do they never survive after mating? Can i stop this somehow? Im asking this cuz i have a rooster of my own and i love the dude. I would be very sad if he died.

Well im actually quite relieved for being dumb once. Now im kinda relieved my little henry wont die when he grows up

Your little Henry is adorable and will be fine. Whether or not the hens will be fine remains to be seen.
